International brand films for Ullna Golf & Country Club
Branded content I 2024
To tell the story about Ullna Golf & Country Club, we followed two of the club’s most iconic members — Jesper Parnevik and Per-Ulrik Johansson — during a relaxed summer round at the course they have called home for decades.
“We want a film on our webpage for the international market. We got four films”.
DIRECTORS NOTE
When Ullna approached us about creating films for the international market, we quickly realized that the real story was not only the golf course itself. Yes, Ullna is visually striking. The Nicklaus redesign created one of the most refined and beautifully integrated golf experiences in Scandinavia. But what truly makes the club special is its people and its history.
Instead of one film, we shot four – with one featuring the clubs biggest golf stars: Jesper Parnevik and Per Ulrik Johansson. Both international golf celebrities and multiple Ryder Cup players.
Rather than producing a conventional cinematic showcase filled only with drone shots and perfect swings, we wanted to capture something more human and authentic. The idea became simple: tell the story of Ullna through two of the people who know it best.
Following Jesper Parnevik and Per-Ulrik Johansson during a relaxed summer round immediately created a completely different tone. Their memories, humor and relationship with the club brought warmth and credibility that no scripted production could replicate.
Visually, the ambition was to balance cinematic imagery with documentary honesty. We wanted the viewer to feel present — not like they were watching an advertisement, but rather sharing a round of golf with two Ryder Cup players reflecting on a place that shaped part of Swedish golf history.
That balance between elegance and authenticity became the foundation of the film.
